Piedmont Rags

Piedmont Blues/Ragtime is a traditional “pre-blues” style of guitar playing associated with the mid-Atlantic and Southeast United States. Guitar players juxtapose a regular alternating bass pattern (usually played by the thumb) with a syncopated melody (usually played by the index finger). I found sixth tone microtonality amenable to this traditional style.
